PLUZ｜Puzzling the Planks

This is a three-dimensional duck assembled from specially designed and crafted Hinoki cypress boards. Twelve pieces are distributed across different parts of the duck’s body, each presenting its own unique size and shape. 

During assembly, holding each piece in your hand provides a moment of exploration: its distinctive contours help the builder mentally sketch out the duck’s overall form and suggest where that piece might fit. When the 3D shape is complete, the differing outlines of each unit align at certain angles in the viewer’s sightline, creating a uniquely sculptural visual enjoyment.

Materials & Specifications

• Materials: Puzzle pieces are made from solid domestic Japanese Hinoki cypress (approx. 6mm thick); base is laminated wood (approx. 15mm thick)

• Processing: CNC-machined with high precision, followed by hand-sanding and finishing

• Coating: Coated with a clear natural-based finish compliant with EN71 (European Toy Safety Standard)

• Size & Parts: Varies by design; typically around 20cm cube in volume, 10–15 pieces
  　→ This duck consists of 13 pieces, measuring L22 ✕ W15 ✕ H approximately 21 centimeters.

Repair & Replacement

• If a piece is damaged during assembly or due to long-term use, we offer free maintenance (some exceptions may apply)

• Custom services like replacement parts or name engraving are also available—feel free to message us.

• Please note: Shipping costs for maintenance are the customer’s responsibility.

Notes

• Name engraving and gift wrapping are also free

• Recommended age: 7 and up

• When used by young children, please assemble under adult supervision

• Wood grain and color may vary naturally between pieces

• If it gets dirty, gently wipe with a dry cloth

• Avoid direct sunlight and high humidity, as this is a wooden product
