PLUZ｜Puzzling the Planks

This is a three-dimensional sculpture built from specially designed and crafted Hinoki cypress boards. Assembling these boards as a spatial puzzle is full of challenges and delightful discoveries.

The completed form reveals different spatial impressions depending on the viewing angle, and from a specific viewpoint, the circular face of a sphere clearly emerges.
The structure resembles a unique piece of architecture: the irregularly interwoven wooden planes resemble walls, dividing the interior into a variety of spatial zones.
With its rich sculptural presence and layered internal language, this piece fits beautifully into various settings—whether as an interior art object, an educational toy, or a creative play item for parents and children.

Materials & Specifications

• Materials: Puzzle pieces are made from solid domestic Japanese Hinoki cypress (approx. 6mm thick); base is laminated wood (approx. 15mm thick)

• Processing: CNC-machined with high precision, followed by hand-sanding and finishing

• Coating: Coated with a clear natural-based finish compliant with EN71 (European Toy Safety Standard)

• Size & Parts: Varies by design; typically around 20cm cube in volume, 10–15 pieces
  　→ This spherical model includes 11 pieces, with a diameter of approximately 20 cm.

Repair & Replacement

• If a piece is damaged during assembly or due to long-term use, we offer free maintenance (some exceptions may apply)

• Custom services like replacement parts or name engraving are also available—feel free to message us.

• Please note: Shipping costs for maintenance are the customer’s responsibility.

• When used by young children, please assemble under adult supervision

• Wood grain and color may vary naturally between pieces
