Light That Carves Everything | Spherical Table Lamp

This table lamp is part of fofo lab's "Shaping with Light" series.
Light is inherently shapeless, but as it passes through the subtle gaps between wooden planks and glides over carved textures, the formless begins to acquire outlines. These light and shadow forms, floating in space, are like breath—though intangible, they truly nourish all things.

Each wooden plank is precision-cut and individually hand-sanded and adjusted. The thin, natural cherry wood, when illuminated, exhibits a warm and soft translucence, making the entire lamp resemble a wooden garden gently expanded by light.

The carved patterns can also be freely customized according to your ideas.
Animals, plants, insects, names, logos, and even landscapes from your personal memories can be transformed into patterns floating in the light. We hope this is not just a lighting piece, but a small spatial installation that carries emotions and stories.

Furthermore, this series of table lamps uses a standardized base design, allowing for different lampshades to be changed according to season, mood, or room style. The top of the base can also be gently rotated, making the patterns slowly change like a magic lantern, creating a quiet and continuous interaction between people and light.
