From Clay to Man, From Board to Form | Little Duck 3D Puzzle (Large)

"Earth" originally had no shape, but through God's will and creation, "earth" became "man" with a shape. In this series of works, as a metaphor, "wood panels" originally had no three-dimensional shape, but through the designer's will and craftsmanship, flat panels became three-dimensional forms.

As people slowly piece together these originally flat wooden pieces, a three-dimensional duck emerges from the gaps and intersections. At that moment, it’s like the theme that fofo lab has always explored – “how form is generated from formlessness.” Wooden pieces of different shapes support and intersect each other in space, and at a certain angle, they just happen to form a complete outline. Therefore, when you rotate it, the duck's expression and posture will also change with your line of sight, like a small, breathing three-dimensional sculpture.

During the assembly process, each time a module is picked up, its unique form brings a joy of exploration. Players need to imagine the complete three-dimensional outline of the duck in their minds and consider where each component should be placed. This process is not just assembly; it's more like a thinking game about shape and space.

When the three-dimensional form is finally completed, modules with different outlines will precisely connect at specific angles, creating a unique sculptural viewing experience.

【Placement and Usage Suggestions】 ・Can be displayed as an indoor ornament on a bookshelf or desk, to appreciate the warm texture of natural wood. ・Also recommended to experience the assembly process with children or partners. ・Can also be used as a healing item that brings relaxation through touch and the scent of wood.

【Materials and Specifications】 ・Materials used: Modules are made of domestic Japanese hinoki solid wood (approx. 6mm thick), base is made of laminated wood (approx. 15mm thick). ・Processing method: After high-precision CNC cutting, finished with manual sanding and adjustment. ・Surface treatment: Option to apply a natural transparent coating (conforms to European toy safety standard EN71); price is the same whether coated or not. ・Dimensions and number of parts: Total 13 parts, approx. 22 cm (length) × 15 cm (width) × 21 cm (height).

【Shipping and Production Period】 Production begins after order is placed. Usually shipped in about 3-6 days.
