Light in Chaos | Sculpture Table Lamp

When the world was still enveloped in chaos and void, God said, "Let there be light." From that moment on, change began to unfold. Light slowly brightened from within the chaos, then gradually spread, permeated, and overflowed, caressing every dim corner. Chaos was not the opposite of light, but rather something comforted and transformed within the light.

Fofo lab created this table lamp using PLUZ's unique sculpting technique. Twenty cherry wood panels of different shapes intersect almost randomly, forming a three-dimensional shape that is difficult to discern at first glance. However, the moment the light turns on, light reflects and flows from the angles and gaps between the wooden panels, and the previously tangled and intertwined wooden pieces transform into vessels that carry the variations of light and shadow.

Through this sculptural work of light and shadow, we hope to quietly illuminate a period of time comforted by that "true light" amidst the busy, anxious, and subtly unsettling everyday.

【Placement and Usage Recommendations】
・As soft indirect lighting in a bedroom or living room.
・As an atmospheric decoration that harmonizes with the interior space.

【Materials and Specifications】
・Materials used: Unit parts are made of solid cherry wood (approx. 2mm thick), base is made of laminated wood (approx. 15mm thick).
・Processing method: Cut with high-precision CNC, then hand-sanded and adjusted.
・Surface treatment: Coated with a natural transparent coating (meets European toy safety standard EN71).
・Dimensions and number of parts: 20 modules + base, approx. 20 cm wide × 25 cm high.
・Bulb: Uses a vintage filament LED (2700K warm light), not dazzling even after prolonged lighting.
・Wiring: Includes a 1.5m power cord and switch, ready to use. The plug can be adjusted to national standards for free.
